There’s something really strange surrounding the GTA-like Scarface: The World Is Yours. The port of the 2006 title appeared on Steam and the Epic Games Store out of nowhere on Wednesday. It was even available for purchase for €26.99 on the Fortnite creators’ store.
However, just a few hours later, the game was finally removed from online stores. According to a report published on X, the film’s rights holders were not informed of the return of Scarface: The World Is Yours to PC. In addition, the game files revealed the presence of the Fusion Fix mod. Internet users suspect that this could be a scam using the work done by modders.
Finally, EC Digital, the publisher behind the port, announced that it had temporarily hidden the game’s Steam and Epic Games Store pages.
“We’ve recently entered urgent discussions with multiple parties concerning the project’s status. After careful consideration, we believe that temporarily hiding the store page is the most appropriate step forward, and we’ve already begun coordinating with Valve to make that happen shortly.”
