The start of this week has been marked by numerous disruptions to several popular services and video games due to a massive outage that affected Amazon Web Services on Monday, October 20, 2025.
This has gone relatively unnoticed in Europe as it mainly affected the US East 1 zone. It impacted various services and gaming applications in the affected region, such as PlayStation Network, Fortnite, Roblox, Epic Games, Pokémon GO, Rocket League, Clash of Clans, and Clash Royale.
Fortunately, Amazon reported at 10:39 a.m. on Monday that it was seeing “significant signs of recovery” and that most connection requests should now be successful. Additional information will be provided in the coming hours.
