Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion still stands as one of my favourite games this year. In fact, publisher Marvelous has had a stunning year, with Titanic Scion sitting alongside Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar and Rune Factory 5: Guardians of Azuma, keeping their franchises at the top of the Switch 2 charts. Titanic Scion receives its second free update today, with patch 1.1.1. bringing a batch of improvements to the sci-fi game, including new bosses and replayable side missions.
Patch 1.1.1 introduces more titanic bosses to challenge players’ best Arsenal builds as well as a wide range of bug fixes and gameplay improvements, including new visual customisation options for Outers. The update also includes the release of new free DLC, further enhancing players’ ability to customise their perfect Outer.
In today’s DLC, you can take on two towering new bosses solo or with up to two friends – the lethal Lapis Lacrima RT: Ω and Cybele RT: Ω, as well as the permanent addition of the event boss Zeruchroar through the Rematch Simulator. The update also introduces the option to disable Fusion mutation visual effects on their Outers, a cosmetic-only change that does not restore Outers’ humanity or disable the Fusion system. Finally, players can now replay side-missions that previously were unavailable after being completed and acquire alternate rewards they may have missed in earlier missions.
Also included with the release of patch 1.1.1 are a pair of free new Outer outfits, which join the free “Iris Outfit” and other avatar customization DLC currently available to download. Details and pricing on the latest cosmetic DLC can be found below.

Available for Switch 2, as well as PC, PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion is an absolute hoot, and they’ve continued to update the game since, launch, improving performance and adding new modes and options. At launch I said, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion is a sci-fi blast. While it wears its influences on its sleeve, it comes out the other side as a unique and enjoyable mech-based action-RPG.”
