Pokémon Legends: Z-A on Switch 1 is surprisingly functional in its early hours

After Nintendo neglected to show Pokémon Legends: Z-A running on the original Switch ahead of the game’s launch (and apparently only sent out Switch 2 copies for review purposes), my expectations for how the game would perform on older hardware were incredibly low. Like,Pokémon Scarlet and Violet launch vesion low. After spending several hours scouring wild zones and ranking up in the Z-A Royale, I’m finding that it’s, dare I say… okay? It’s okay! The Switch 2 version performs better in most cases, but this one isn’t catastrophic. Not at least based on what I’ve played anyway.

It’s great to hear that Pokémon Legends: Z-A is performing well on the original Switch, especially given the concerns about its release. Early impressions can really set the tone for a game’s success, so it will be interesting to see how it develops further. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
