The specialist press has given its verdict on the biggest release of the week. The scores are in for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which will be released on October 16, 2025, on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
On Metacritic, the average score is currently 81% with 43 reviews for the Switch 2 version. As for the OpenCritic score, it stands at 82% with only 22 reviews. These averages may of course change over time.
Those who’ve tried the game praise the combat system in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, a good amount of content, great OSt, very decent story, and great performance on Switch 2.
On the downside, unfortunately, the AI is lacking, there is still no voice acting, the environments are not very varied, and the technology and graphics are frankly outdated.
