Microsoft has stopped supporting Windows 10

On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Windows 10 will be going the way of the dodo. Microsoft is ending technical support for its operating system, which was launched in July 2015. It will therefore no longer receive software or security updates.

“After October 14, 2025, your Windows 10 computer will no longer receive security updates. In addition, Microsoft customer service will no longer be available to provide technical support for Windows 10.”

Of course, it is important to note that devices running Windows 10 will still function normally. However, they may experience malfunctions and become more vulnerable to security issues over time. Microsoft recommends that users upgrade to Windows 11.

In a survey conducted by Valve in September 2025, 32.18% of Steam users surveyed said they used Windows 10. It should also be noted that 40% of Windows users use this OS and 10% are still on Windows 7.
