Back in 2022, Netflix acquired Boss Fight Entertainment, a studio specializing in mobile games. After releasing Squid Game: Unleashed, the company was finally shut down last October.
Now, Irin Berry, who was a senior engineer on Squid Game, has announced on LinkedIn the birth of Sunwise Games. This new company currently consists of 30 developers, including the 26 founding members of Boss Fight.
It is described as an “independent PC game studio focused on developing complex games that offer long-term depth, clear progression, and respectful monetization”. The team is highly experienced and has “solid expertise in the production, operation, and support of large-scale games”.
