Funky Can Creative has announced that its side-scrolling action game, PopSlinger Vol.2: Loveless, which was originally released as a Nintendo Switch exclusive in 2024, is available now on PS5 via the PlayStation Store for $14.99.

PopSlinger Vol. 2 Loveless is a side-scrolling shoot ’em up inspired by 90’s cartoons and anime. Featuring fully-voiced dialogue and dynamic cutscenes, the game stars Agent Cooper McLaren and Akane 2.0 as they attempt to rescue the first game’s protagonist, Ria. Players will use “coffee-fueled” weapons and “digital powers” to destroy their enemies, as well as the Loveless Sisters.

As new PS5 games get surprise releases on the PS Store, just as many are being delisted from the digital storefront. The latest is Guilt Battle Arena, with indie developer Invincible Cat announced it is shutting down.
