Remember the PS4 and PS5 action game F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch? During the Xbox Partner Preview, a prequel to the 2021 action game called Zoopunk was showcased with a brand-new trailer, offering a glimpse at its anthropomorphic combat.
Zoopunk is a PS5 action adventure prequel to FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch
Developed by TiGames, Zoopunk is a 3D cooperative action-adventure game set years before the events of F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch. The trailer shown during the Xbox Partner Preview stars the “veteran rabbit swordsman,” Rayton, as he takes out a mechanical army. At one point, he throws out a signal, bringing in some other furry friends in the form of a gun-toting squirrel and a broadsword-wielding rhino.
Here’s a brief description of the game, as well as an extended trailer of the one shown during the Xbox Partner Preview, giving PS5 players an idea of what to expect from the sequel to F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch:

Fans familiar with F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch will recognize some familiar yet new details, offering both nostalgia and discovery as they explore this vibrant new story.”
Zoopunk looks to be a fairly big departure from its previous Animal Punk release. Most notably, F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch was a 2D side-scrolling metroidvania rather than a 3D action-adventure game. When it was originally released, we gave it a 9 out of 10 in our review.
“While it may not redefine the Metroidvania style of games by any stretch of the imagination, F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch is a stellar example of the genre done right. Featuring mildly interesting characters, a world teeming with life, and a well-designed map that is very player-friendly, it genuinely feels like it does damn near everything right.”
