Players are warned that a 2018 PS4 game is set to be delisted along with all of its DLC soon to pave the way for a new edition. As we previously reported, Surviving Mars is getting a “Relaunched” edition, but this won’t be a free upgrade for existing owners.
PS4 version of city-building survival game Surviving Mars will be delisted in November
Surviving Mars: Relaunched will cost $39.99 and will include all previously released DLC. Those who already own the original game will be eligible for a discount of $20, should they wish to upgrade. However, if you haven’t purchased any of the DLC, you’ll be locked out of buying it for good come November 10.
Surviving Mars is currently part of PS Plus Extra and costs $29.99. While we don’t know whether the game will be removed from PS Plus or upgraded while it’s still in the catalog, we don’t expect it to go on sale ahead of the relaunch.
Surviving Mars currently has one free DLC pack on the PS Store. The Mysteries Resupply Pack comes with:
• St. Elmo’s Fire – Colonists find it hard to get a good night’s sleep, especially when mysterious lights begin appearing where they have no reason to be. What is causing these unexpected apparitions, and is it connected to the confusing changes in the water supply?
• The Philosopher’s Stone – Encounter beings that are a far cry from the fleshy bags we call carbon-based life when the colony stumbles upon entirely crystalline entities. Are they here to be of assistance or only out to protect the family jewels?
• Metatron – Colonists look to the sky agape as a great floating monolith has parked itself directly above your fledgling colony. Does it come in peace or is it even sentient? Either way, it is certainly blocking the views from the dome!
Players have until November 10 to grab the free and/or paid DLC packs, as that’s when the Relaunched edition will release.
