1348 Ex Voto Launches on March 12th for $25, Xbox Series X/S Version Cancelled

Sedleo’s hack-and-slash action adventure 1348 Ex Voto stood out back in August for its presentation and cinematic combat before promptly disappearing. However, it’s actually closer than we thought, launching on March 12th for PS5 and PC. Check out the release date trailer below courtesy of IGN.

There’s bad news, however – the Xbox Series X/S version is cancelled to deliver the “best experience possible” on other platforms. For those who missed its announcement, 1348 Ex Voto follows a knight errant, Aeta (played by Alby Baldwin), on a journey to save Bianca (voiced by Jennifer English). She’ll venture through the Italian Peninsula, which is based heavily on the real-world Italy. Despite the relative instability of the period, there are still gorgeous grasslands and mountains to explore.

1348 Ex Voto’s combat is notable for taking inspiration from Historical European Martial Arts. Aeta can wield a sword in one-handed and two-handed stances while learning new combos from skill books and customizing her weapon with parts. It all comes to life courtesy of performance capture, lending that extra realistic feel.

Retailing for $24.99, 1348 Ex Voto is clearly aiming to deliver more bang for your buck. Can it succeed and serve as yet another shining example of low-cost action-adventure titles? We’ll find out when it launches this March.
