12 Free PC Games to Download This Weekend, All Praise to Steam

The weekend is upon us and as the last weekend before Christmas, now is the perfect time to cosy up with some underrated gems.

Better yet? The twelve titles listed below all happen to be absolutely free to download and play so if you are on the lookout for a co-op base defence game, a 3D platformer, a driving game or a Skyrim-esque adventure game, this list is guaranteed to have something for you.

So without further ado, let us take a look at twelve brand-new games which have arrived to the PC storefront this week.

First up is Train Wreck, a 3D top-down, local co-op base defence game where players will take on the role of train conductors who must deliver cargo through multiple stations.

However, with robbers from the wild west wishing to steal your precious cargo, you must fend them off whilst maintaining fuel levels and repairing the train so that you get to your destination in one piece.

Featuring 100 floors of procedurally generated mazes to work through, Dungeon Run is not for the faint-hearted. Race through the floors, collect the keys and climb to glory but remember that only the fastest and most cunning adventurers will be able to reach the top of the tower.

With races resetting every season, will you have what it takes to climb the leaderboard and claim your place amongst the champions?

On the other hand, Biltur Simulator is a driving simulation game which aims to bring an authentic experience to players. With realistic car physics, both new and experienced drivers will be able to take to the roads provided by zero-pressure training.

For all the medieval RPG lovers out there, Exoria is not to be missed out on.

In this action-adventure title, players will be able to embark on a quest to find the mythical sword Exoria as they use a grappling hook to explore, solve puzzles and even fight their way across the land.

Next is Ball Tag, a first-person multiplayer game which is pretty self-explanatory.

Embark on a series of different challenges as you try to avoid being IT for 45 seconds. Pick up, throw the ball and eliminate the competition. It’s simple.

Set during the Joseon Dynasty, Jeon Woo-chi is an action RPG where players will take on the role of the titular character who must use dazzling martial arts to defeat advancing enemies in a series of interdimensional battles.

Back to balls now with Ball Roller, a parkour, “soulslike” for, well, balls. Either alone or with fellow ballers, get your ball through a series of obstacle courses and be the best ball in the world in an unforgiving but fair title.

On the topic of speed, Cython Cat is an open-world speed platformer where you will play as Miru and explore the ruined land. As you explore the world at high speeds, you will need to find shards, keys, and even furballs in order to unlock new and even more challenging areas.

In Operation Guest, you will be tasked with exploring late 1990s Russia as you complete tasks for the locals, battle enemies, find secrets, and even uncover the mysteries behind a dangerous conspiracy in the meantime.

Steeped in symbolism and based on a true story, Testimony of Shew is a narrative-driven, third-person, side-scrolling platformer where you will traverse through a dark world with a deep meaning.

Dinosaur fans will love Jurassic Wrap, a family-friendly adventure game where you will rescue baby dinosaur eggs. Created by a father and son duo, it will be your job to save the eggs and make it to the exit portal, all whilst leaping, dodging and outsmarting enemies throughout each level.

Last but not least is Ordy: The Rise of Clara. This is an action RPG set in a near-future where supernatural abilities are just the norm.

With people levitating, communicating telepathically and even using telekinesis on a daily basis, you will take on the role of Clara who lost her supernatural abilities during an accident.

Now an “Ordy”, she will have to learn how to navigate a world which is no longer built for her.
