1,000 Fortnite V-Bucks for $1, Xbox and PC ‘Hack’ Explained

Fortnite players can get a 1,000 V-Bucks for a mere $1 / £1 thanks to this ‘hack’ Xbox and PC users have found.

1,000 V-Bucks can get you pretty far in Fortnite as that’s the exact cost of the battle-pass. Each battle-pass also grants periodic V-Bucks which totals 1,000 if you complete it, which is done to ensure you have enough to buy the next one as long as you’re not spending any in the item shop, as tempting as that is.

If you’re playing on Xbox or PC though you can actually get 1,000 for next to nothing but only if you haven’t subscribed to Xbox Game Pass yet.

You see, Xbox likes to rally as many of its gamers onto its subscription service as possible and while it boasts some bangers like Hollow Knight: Silksong and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle there’s still a large portion of users who don’t have a subscription to it.

Along with the games at no additional cost though Xbox also throws in several perks, with a recent addition being a subscription to Fortnite Crew which grants 1,000 V-Bucks every month as well as access to the battle-pass, meaning those V-Bucks are free to spend on whatever you’d like.

Stay with me now, Xbox Game Pass offers a free trial for a mere $1 / £1, giving you access to all of these goodies for next to nothing.

Xbox and PC users have since devised that this is a great way of bolstering your Fortnite wallet as while you’ll need to keep the subscription active to continue reaping the rewards, keeping it for a month will still see you walk away with “free” V-Bucks.

There are limits of course as usually Xbox is aware if you’ve already had a deal such as this.

But in the past I’ve known it still offer me the $1 / £1 deal even though I’ve already claimed it, so there might be some glitches in the system.

It’s up to you to then decide if you want to give the subscription going or cancel it, but be warned the price has gone up significantly this year and for many the service is no longer deemed worthy of a monthly subscription, unless an Xbox is your primary console.
