Today, during the Nintendo Direct livestream, Nintendo announced that you can give the new Star Fox a test flight later today with a new demo out now on the Switch 2 eShop.
The demo was announced alongside a new look at the full release, with missions on Solar and Zoness among the included footage. The demo, meanwhile, will include the game’s tutorial, as well as Meteo, one of the adventure’s early missions.
The new Star Fox, a remake of Star Fox 64, was announced during a surprise Nintendo Direct that released on May 6 that showed over 15 minutes of gameplay. It features updated graphics, new cutscenes expanding the original game’s story, and a online multiplayer battle mode.
Today’s Nintendo Direct also confirmed the long-rumored remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, as well as new footage from Kingdom Hearts IV, which hasn’t been seen since its debut trailer in 2022. Multiple Switch 2 versions of existing games were also announced, including Lies of P, Devil May Cry 5, and Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen.
Star Fox is set to launch June 25 exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2.
