The mismatch between the Soul Eater manga and the anime is one of the many inconsistencies that put Soul Eater among the top extraordinary manga with inferior anime adaptations. When it comes to Excalibur, it is hands down the most legendary Demon Weapon of all weapons to ever exist on and off the screen. He simply knows no other Demon Weapon that could defeat him, and even Death Scythes bow at his might. Excalibur would happily remind us of this very fact indeed.
